Summer Learning Journey- Week one- In the beginning(1800-1870) Day one: Arriving in New Zealand-Bonus Activity: Waka Ama
I wouldn't like to be in Waka Ama because, our waka could tip, also it would be hard work paddling and you would have to have a lot of upper body strength.

- Maui's fish is what makes up the north Island and his canoe makes up the south Island.
- Maui uses a jawbone which his ancestor murirangawhenua gave to him.
Another story iv'e heard of Maui is:

My Digital Footprint Over The Last Week
I found out that I mostly go on YouTube,Instagram,Xtramath,Google docs and Blogger.
Google docs comes up so much because when we work on the chrome books we mainly use google docs.
Companies can track my browser history by maybe putting a virus on your computer to spy on what you are going on.
I was a bit embarrassed when Instagram and YouTube came up the most and my teacher saw it.

Sadako and a Thousand Paper Cranes
I have chosen this piece of work to share because Im proud of it and I enjoyed learning about it. I also chose this work because it lets you know about what we were learning about. In this lesson miss alam read a book called sadako and a thousand paper cranes. I really liked that book because it was sad and there was heaps of action. Every time miss alam finished a new chapter we would draw what we heard onto our story board. I mostly enjoyed drawing about sadako and her story. When we finished the story we made paper cranes which was very hard people were getting extremely frustrated. Then we made paper lanterns I liked that part because we got to write values that we have or that we want.
The aim of the lesson was to learn about the Hiroshima bombing and what happened after it, another aim was to understand what the Hiroshima bomb did and how it affected the people living there. I learnt that radiation from the Hiroshima bomb caused birth defects like, extra limbs,r extra eyes.Thursday 30th March: Sadako Reading
Re-tell the Sadako story based on the storyboard pictures you have drawn.
